Grow Island

Click here to play the game.

On of Eyezmaze is back! The man behind the Grow series, one of the most beloved staples of free play on the Web since the invention of Flash, has just come out with a new game, Grow Island. The game takes the 'pick objects in order and watch the world grow' dynamic of his previous Grow titles and applies it to a university curriculum. Instead of picking a ball, or a treasure, as...

The order:
Mechanical (Bolt)
Civil (Pickaxe)
Architectural (Logs)
Aeronautical, etc (Steering Wheel)
Environmental (Smoke Stack)
Electrical (Battery)
Computer (Chip)
Chemical (Beaker)

Nice Game.

Other Grow Series games here.

I think I got nothing better to do, once again, so I did some quizzes.

***You Are Internal - Skeptic - Powerful***

You feel your life is controlled internally.
If you want something, you make it happen.
You don't wait around for things to go your way.
You value your independence and don't like others to have control.
You are a total skeptic when it comes to luck.
You believe that people use luck as a crutch to avoid responsibility.
You control your own destiny. The universe has nothing to do with it.
You believe everything can be explained - and you tend to over analyze situations.
When it comes to who's in charge, it's you.
Life is a kingdom, and you're the grand ruler.
You don't care much about what others think.
But they better care what you think!

The Three Dimension Luck and Power Test

***Your Rising Sign is Scorpio***

You're so intense and passionate - you're on fire!
You want to be an angel or a devil... you can't decide which.
No wonder you seem moody and even a little dangerious.
You've got some major mystery going on, so work it!
Your personality is the strongest of all signs, making you hard to deal with.
While you're ruthless to your enemies, you're loyal to your one true love.

What's Your Rising Sign?

***Your Inner Blood Type is Type B***

You follow your own rules in life, even if you change the rules every day.
Sure, you tend to be off the wall and unpredictable, but that's what makes you lovable.
And even though you're a wild child, you have the tools to be a great success.
You are able to concentrate intently - and make the impossible possible.

You are most compatible with: B and AB
Famous Type B's: Leonardo Di Caprio

What's Your Inner Blood Type?

That is all...

I feel so bored so I went off playing board games with my sister.

Anyway you know something? Well, It like the Great Wall of China should not be call GREAT. Great means something done that do a lot of good to others.

And during the building of the 'Great' Wall of China, millions of people died. Yeah, Millions. So it is not great, it is EVIL... It is the graveyard of millions of China Citizens, my mother says so.

And do you know why they build it?

For defence.

But not for the people of China, it is for the royal family.

Because they were all scare the enemy would attack the country and kill them. That's why. Those common people need no defence. Those enemy would not hurt them.

What for? They also won't like fight back or whatever. All they wanted is a good ruler who don't bully them but look after them as if they are his/her children.

Imagine this. The China emperor is a evil guy (of course since he wanted the build the Evil Wall of China which kills lots of innocent citizens) but the enemy's ruler is a good guy and those enemies are good too.

Who would those China Citizens choose?

Of course the Good enemy's Ruler and not their evil emperor. Unless they have mental problem or whatever.

So the Emperor build that wall to defend himself, not his citizens.

Evil Emperor.

And he kills millions of citizens.

Anyway dropped that subject.

It is so boring staying at home, especially when my mum is in Malaysia who is giving birth to a baby girl. Luckily I could go down and play today.

Just that I can't run super fast because I hurt my knees when I trpped and fall yesterday at the playground when I am playing Ice and Freeze.

I just accidentally trip and fall. ██

Shitty Luck.

Guess what, my sister and my brother is quarrelling again. They are alway fighting and quarrelling. How I wish I had an elder Sister or Brother who could look after me instead of a younger one.

My brother is crying again.

He is always crying, even though he is ALREADY FOUR YEARS OLD and turing 5 next year. Crybaby.

How I wish there is a fun game which I could play...

A bored day...

I will be going for my Art Exam later on.

Right Now, I am eating lunch, my FA-VOU-RITE Fried Rice! Cook by my honourable Grandpa.

I only thing I enjoy doing right now is drawing penguins and puffles. I can drew really well now. Yay!

I found nothing to write about, I now only hoping for Ghost Stories. Ghost Stories.

I think they are real lame, very lame. They are fake. There is no such thing as Ghost, no ghost = fake ghost stories = lame stories = not scary. Since it is not scary, there is no use telling one

There are all kinds of ghost stories, baby ghost, ghost in the fan, ghost at parade ground, bookworm ghost and lots others.

All lame ones, don't even mention it.

But I considered this one 'scary':

One day, a little boy heard a ghost saying,
I am at the First floor.
I am at the Second floor.
I am at the Third floor.
I am at the Fourth floor.
I am at the Fifth floor.
I am at the Sixth floor.
I am at your door.

Not very frightening when you read it but if you say it it will be.

Imagine you tell your friend the first few part they will sort of whatever and then you suddenly BOO! they will jump.

I did this to my younger sister and she actually CRIES!

My god. It is a bit scary when you suddenly BOO! but that sure won't cause you to... cry???

Guess not.

And Grandpa just taught me something.

You pluck a hair, one is enough, make a knot. How do you unknot it? You can't cut it or break it or whatever. So not I teach you how. You know you palm down there got some lines? I called that palm lines.

Put that knot onto the top palm line and close you hand into a fist. Now knock your fist against the table or any hard stuff for several times.

Now open you palm. It will at least be a bit unknot.

If it isn't know your fist several times again.

You open your palm and sure you will find it at least a bit unknot. Amazing huh? Grandpa says it isn't any magic trick or whatever so I wonder what it is.

Here some funny joke by the way.

#1 Stretching A Dime
A Ukrainian and a Jew were discussing how far each could make a dime reach, and agreed to try it and meet a few days later to see who'd get the most out of a dime.

The Jew bought a cigar, and smoked one-third the first day and saved the ashes. He smoked one-third the second day and saved the ashes. He smoked one-third the third day and again saved the ashes, and on the fourth day he gave the ashes to his wife to use as fertilizer on her roses. He told the Ukrainian, "I know you can't beat that for stretching a dime."

The Ukrainian said, "I got you beat. I bought a Polish sausage for a dime, and the first day I ate one-half, and on the second day I ate the other one-half. The third day I used the skin for a condom, and the fourth day I took a shit in the skin and sewed it back up. The fifth day I took it back to the butcher and told him it smelled like shit. He agreed with me and gave me my dime back!"

#2 Gossip Monger
"Hey, Mom," asked Johnny "can you give me twenty dollars?"

"Certainly not."

"If you do," he went on, "I'll tell you what dad said to the maid when you were at the beauty shop."

His mother's ears perked up and, grabbing her purse, she handed over the money. "Well? What did he say?"

"He said, 'Hey, Marie, make sure you wash my socks tomorrow."

#3 Locked Car
A blonde woman is driving down the road. She notices that she's low on gas, so she stops at a gas station. While she's pumping her gas, she notices that she locked the keys in the car. So when she goes inside to pay, she asks the attendant for a hanger so that she can attempt to open the door herself.

She returns outside and begins to jimmy the lock. Ten minutes later, the attendant comes out to see how the blonde is faring.

Outside the car, the blonde is moving the hanger around and around while the blonde inside the car is saying, "A little more to the left...a little more to the right!..."
Funny. From Joke Diary

Sometimes I heard people telling someone else to not let their teachers know their blog address or it will get close down. I don't think so. Well my teachers Mr Kwan and Mdm Chng both read my blog though I didn't know how they got the address.

But they just read and never scold you or whatever.

If I write something wrongly or anything, they just leave a comment telling you about it. If I really overdo it, they will just talk to me personally and advise me.

Surely not ask me to close down my blog.

Well it is like the blog is your internet diary, sort of and nobody can force you to not write the diary, right?

So anyone who do that sure have mental problems.

And go to go Mental Hospital.

I am not siding with the teachers or whatever. I just think it isn't right to actually says that they are crazy.

Post ended.

Chinese Orchestra

Five minutes and I will be going for my stupid Chinese Orchestra COMBINE Practice. My Dumbo Dumbi Sister saw me writing stupid and said oh-horh.

Anyway I go change clothes.

Here I come back.

Have been drawing penguins, cute ones plus puffles.

It has been just so boring during the holidays that after blogging, memorising the 15 words I am suppose to memorise because of my class's bad vocabulary, I got nothing else to do...

Read BOOKS!!!

3 more minutes and I got to go. I go pack the bags.

Back again.

Now I got to go for the Chinese Orchestra. Continue this post later.

Here I am, Back from CO.

Crazy staying for don't know how many hours and coming back at 5.30pm in the evening. So late...

Guess what I bring to CO practices?

A small dark blue sling bag containing my CO file with the notes in it, a plastic green tea bottle as my water bottle and this tiny thin triangular piece to play my instrument.

& my instrument, it is called 大阮. Da Ruan in Chinese HanYuPingYing. Since it is called 大阮, it is real 大! And a bit heavy too in its instrument case.

I am real stupid, idiotic to bring this instrument back home. I guess I took about 30 minutes to carry it to school when I only need 10 minutes to walk to school if I didn't carry it. It is about three times the normal time.

Well... anyway, Huien is real mad at me. I been late for five minutes or so for our meeting down at her block before we when to school together.

Guess why.

The first time, I was carrying my 大阮 and had just gone one step when I realised that... I HAD NOT WEAR MY SHOES!!!
Then the second time I wore my slippers instead of normal school shoes.
I finally got my shoes wear type correctly the third time.

That's why.

Later on, when we reached the school and when in and carry the instruments to the music room, I found out the music room is occupied.

Just as I was going to leave the room, Mdm Leong came and told us to wait down there.

So I went out and saw Yu Xin. Well, she actually thought her Chinese Dance was at 8:30 when it was actually 9:30. She came 1hour earlier! So anyway I chat with her for a while and she suddenly pointed somewhere. I turn, look and saw... MDM CHNG!

Well, later one we had Annual Speech Day rehearsal in the hall. I was going to perform.

I am not scared or nervous. And I know pretty well how do I go into the hall on the actual day since I have been to the Chinese Orchestra SYF last year.

After the rehearsal, we just go back into the Music Room and just practise the song over and over and over again till it was 12:15. Then we went down for lunch.

I was LUCKY. I knew that today, there won't be any food sold so I ask my grandpa to bring me the food and he bought me my favourite fried rice cooked by him, icy CocaCola and some grape as dessert.

I eat and eat till my stomach is so full that it seems it might explode any minute. So I take out my skirt, luckily I wore my PE pants inside. I accidentally trip and fall when walking during the lunck break.

Some idiot say I am acting pretty but I am not! My stomach is full and wearing the skirt seems so tight and uncomfortable thus I wore the skirt. Not for other 'special' reason okay?

Lunch time ends at 1.30pm. Wow, a whole 1hour plus 15 minutes.

But I took only about 20 minutes to fulfill my stomach's wish.

When I got back to the classroom, (Oops I had forgotten to tell you actually later the differrent CO groups we all switch back to classrooms.) I found some others playing games and I join in.

Later, we practise those songs again before I went home, WITHOUT MY 大阮.

Oh... Gotta tell you how I joined this CCA.

I remember I was Primary 1 at that time. Innocent + Blur, always following one of my friends called Tien Min.

Then one fine day, two big JieJies (I always call those bigger than me person Big JieJie or Big GeGe when I was young) came to my class at that time, 1D, and ask if anyone is interested to join Chinese Orchestra.

Or course I didn't know what exactly is that then but I just followed Tien Min and 'sign up' for it. Ever since, I have been in CO.

I play 笛子and 高音笙 before this 大阮.

Then I went for SYF last year and got bronze award.

It seems weird. I start out with nothing much to write about and now I wrote so much about Chinese Orchestra that I had to rename this post.

That all.

Small 'Flood'

I got home from school and found the eleven florr flooding with water.

I live on the twelve floor.

I found it weird because other floors weren't flood, at least I thought so. But later I found that actually this tap at the staircase which was use for washing the floors and all those cause the problem.

Guess the cleaner forgotten to off it?

So my Grandpa got some tools and off the tap.

I help too.

I actually put my palm at the opening to stop water from flowing.

My grandpa says it isn't help, it is getting myself and my uniform all wet.

Who cares.

After Exams Party

I going to tell you the story in full.

I was in school at first, and Mdm Chng was kind of checking our marks again and reamrking the paper. Funny, she has been doing that, for this time's SA2 exam.

Anyway, later after school, I change into my home clothe in the school toilet before going out.

Actually I wore, three layers of clothes on top and bottom.
On top, I wore my singlet, the T-shirt I will be wearing or the party and the uniform outside. Bottom, I wore my pants-skirt and my school skirt.
3 layers, yeah.

Regine was even more 夸张. She wore her singlets (she told me there is three), her T-shirt and a jacket on top. Her PE pants, her home pants plus her skirt below.

We went out of the school later and follow Christalle home.

Shitty. If i had know that I won't go for that stupid party.

Christalle met some of her boys classmates on the way and she was wearing her home clothes so she was sort of embarressed.

So were YanTing and Regine.

But I am not.

We went there, Chris's house, and eat lunch, the nice nice fried rice. And then we played games.

First was Newspaper. Funny name. Well you got to have 4 or more people to play the game.
1) You have to team up, with at least two people in you team. At least two.
2) Then you get some newspapers, according to the teams. For example, if there are two teams, get two newspaper, if there are three teams, get three newspaper. Got this part clear?
3) Then the teams will have to stand on the newspaper. No one can stand out of it.
4) Then you fold the papers up and repeat step 3.
5) Repeat Step 4, making sure no one is out of the papers. If anyone is, the whole teams is out of the game.
Repeat Step 5 till every team except one is out. The team not out is the winner.
Lame game. (Yeah! It rhymes!)

Later, we play treasure hunt before playing the game Slide-D. You mixed soup and water and pour it on any small space available in your home. There shouldn't be anything in that space. Then you spray some snow-spray in the water plus soup mixture and wear a raincoat or any waterproof clothings outside your clothes to make sure you won't get wet.
After that, kneel down, put your hands on the floor too and slide!

Fun but I got myself all wet. That's my reason for asking you to wear raincoat.

After this, we watch JUST FOLLOW LAW!

That was a funny movie.

The party ends after that. But I got a hard time finding my way home because the whole area there is like a HDB maze. But Regine help me got home.

Thanks Regine...

Comics Review - More Durian Life

After Exams life had been quite boring for you isn't it??

You could go visiting those links on my blog or read the Daily Jokes on Jokediary. You could also go out and play or just play those computer games on computers. But are you sure that is all you could do?

I don't think so.

For those sporty and hyperactive ones, yeah, you could go swimming in the pool, running or jogging in the park or play sport games such as badminton and soccer.

But what could those non-sporty and not-so-active people do? Those who enjoy going to the library, grab a book there, find a small space in the corner to sit down and READ.

I can tell them to go library but what books can they borrow? Other than those fantasies, mysteries, fairy tales, history and some other books, what can they borrow?

Comics. Yeah right. Comics.

Now don't tell me this: Comics are violent an not funny and I HAD NEVER READ A COMICS BEFORE.

Everyone had their first time. And not all Comics are violent. Instead, lots of comics are funny, for example, Foxtrot, Baby Blues, Peanuts, Garfield plus many others, some of which you can read on newspapers everyday.

And now I recommend the comics book, MORE DURIAN LIFE!!

Nice Funny book. About Life in Malaysia. Two of my favourite comics in this book are:

In Malaysia, those drivers follow the ambulance during a traffic jam just because, it is FASTER!

An old elderly lady is waving to a police in the police car passing by. One of the policeman got up and follow her... the lady actually wants the police to stand beside her while she take money out of the ATM Machine!

Actually there are other Durian Life Books.

Love love love COMICS!

Book Review - Chain Letter

This book is actually about a girl called Livvie and her friend, Joyce. One day they received a chain letter.

Joyce was superstitious and send it off immediately. But Livvie wasn't.

She didn't send it off and got hell lots of bad luck and Joyce got 'infected'.

She even thought her Mum had a boyfriend. But it was not true, she found out later.

And she found who send her the letter too.

I don't really know how to write book review.

Book Review - Zodiac Girls

Ever turned to your horoscope for help in difficult times? Well, Zodiac Girls have something even better - when their stars are in lucky alignment they get personal guidance from the planets themselves! Pretty major, huh? But it's not as easy as it sounds - it's up to each girl to make the most of her month as a Zodiac Girl.

Danu's Dad has gone abroad and left her to live in a tiny flat with her cold, workaholic aunt. As a Sagittarius, Danu longs for space and company. When she can't get either Danu rebels at school, changing from an A-star pupil into every teacher's worst nightmare. Then a website tells her she's been picked as a Zodiac Girl. Doubtful at first, she soon learns that when life deals you difficult cards. It's how you play them that counts.

Adapted from the book: Zodiac Girls - Recipe for Rebellion written by Cathy Hopkins, Author of best selling Mates Dates series.

Personally, I think this is a nice book.

Danu, the main character in the story rebels in school because she wanted the school to expel her so that she could go back to her own home and school.

Then, one day, she met a man who ask her to go to a deli and she went and met Joe. Joe = Jupiter. And Sagittarius is under Jupiter. So Joe becomes her guardian who help her for one whole month.

Other planets help too! And in the end she learn to accept the changes and also got along well with her aunt.

Story ends.

Anyway, Sagittarius is born between November 23rd and Dec 21st.

But I'm an Aries.

Book Review - The Truth about Josie Green

"She's not my true sister, she just can't be."
"Something strange is going on and I intend to find out what it is."

When Josie Green becomes a family detective for her school history project, she comes across secrets she wasn't meant to discover. Confused and angry, Josie's determined to unravel the truth - but when she finally succeeds, it's more shocking than she ever imagined.

A compelling debut novel, filled with intrigued, emotion and humour.

Adapted from the book: The Truth about Josie Green written by Belinda Hollyer.

Well, this book is very interesting. You should read it.

It is something about this girl called Josie Green. She had a very mean sister who often snapped at her. Her parents had divorce and she is living with her mother & her mother's best friend Aggie.

Josie called Aggie her honorable aunt.

When she becomes a family detective for her school history project, she found out that her sister, Fran, wasn't really her true sister and even thought that Fran and her had different fathers.

But, in the end, she found out that Fran and her had same fathers but her AUNT AGGIE IS ACTUALLY FRAN'S MOTHER!!!

And she also found out that her real mother had snatch her father away from her Aunt Aggie. The whole family except her knew the secret.

What a sad news.

If I were Josie, I would feel sad, confused and angry that they had hidden the secret away from me. I mean, since I am also part of the family, don't I have the right to know it too?

Nice book anyway.

Packing Up

Finally Exams are over but I got another problem.

What is it?

I am going to move house soon. Believe it or not. When I told Huien about the news, she was very sad, asking me is I can don't move house.

What is she thinking?

It is like, I don't want to move too! I had to wave Byebye to everyone I know in the area I am living in. My neighbours, my friend I made whenever I went to play in the playground just below my HDB flat and Huien. I am going to miss my house, my comfortable and cosy bedroom and the playground.

Huien is my best friend and my neighbour. She live in the HDB flat just beside mine. We go to school and Art class together and I never had that idea in my mind that I would have to leave her and move to somewhere else.

Who would want to move to somewhere with strangers. What's more, it is so tiring. I just spend a few hours only tidying up my stuff and I already had backache.

The stuffs I pack up are just my books and worksheets.

Why must I move house???

Bored to DEATH

Just bathe finished.

Bored to death after exams. Not used to this feeling. It is like you everyday wish exams will be over soon and now it's over you kind of feel like nothing to do. Then you wish exams not so fast over.

I went to all the computer games website but didn't find any games. Either too lame and childish or too violent.

I remember there is a Strategy game that is very fun. But just can't remember the name. So i went to search the game page one by one.

In this game you have an island and you need to develop and implement different technologies on it. Your goal is to make all your technologies reach the maximum level. It's not easy, because you do not affect their development directly. Technologies affect each other. What you need to do is to build them in to find out how it works and to build the technologies in the right order.

Nice game. Go here if you wanted to try out.

I can only get the Electrical Engineering, Architecture and Mechanical Engineering reach their maximum level.

What a failure...

Another game is Pizza Passion. Very fun.

In this game you're a passionate Italian Chef. You make pizzas, and if you make a good one, you may receive a kiss from a beautiful lady, so try hard or you will not get it. The games starts when you throw the pizza into the air. Click on it to toss it. Keep it in the air for as long as possible and collect toppings for score.

I don't like violent games. So I never play violent games. That is why it is so hard to find some games to play.

That all the games I remember well.

Oh ya. You can also play Club Penguin!

Exam are OVER!

YAY!!! Exams are finally over! Always waiting for this moment during the Examination week.

Well, guess my classmates reactions after finishing the final paper. Everyone Hi-5 each other.

And we were happily playing the games and so on... When Mdm Chng came in, asking those who never check the exam scripts till the exam is over to stand. No one stand. So she ask those who check to stand.

Everyone stand. everyone except Yu Xin and Waikin.

And Mdm Chng started reprimanding them on how much careless mistakes they made and how one of them miss out one whole page for the Science Paper. The 'one of them' is Yu Xin.

She said that when she told Yu Xin about it, she just nodded her head and said "I know" and continued reading her book. I don't find it surprising. She is like that.

Then Mdm Chng also told ask about how 'good' (as if) we had done for the paper.

And said that she won't tell us our results yet. She wanted us to enjoy our weekends.

How to enjoy our weekends??? She said that our marks are lousy and expects us to ENJOY???

That's when one of the boys said, sit down and stare at the TV or computer screen, never open. And Mdm Chng corrected him saying it is 'switch on' not open.

Anyway, I had nightmare again. This time round is about my results.

I dream that I got 80/100 for my Math, 61/100 for my Science, fail for both English and Chinese and got 0 marks for Higher Mother Tongue.

I woke up in cold sweats and could not fall asleep again.

I wonder what should I do...

falling hearts
